HISTORY OF KDK

The KDK brand is an acronym for the Japanese company, Kawakita Denki Kigyousha which was founded in July 1909.

KDK is famous for being the first manufacturer of Electric Fans which is equipped with Japanese-made alternating-current motor in Japan. Thereafter, KDK has developed its overseas market since 1950’s and further solidified its top-brand position, where it is regarded as a synonym for Electric Fans.

KDK started its business with Electric Fans and today the core business is to produce Ventilating Fans, Ceiling Fans, as well as Electric Fans. By taking full advantage of its strength in electrical and project sales channels in the major markets, i.e. Asia, Middle East and South Central America , KDK has evolved as a reputable brand in the regions.
